Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) was established to represent the interest of companies offering employment and tenant background screening services. Just as importantly, however, the initial members wanted to establish and promote a high level of ethics and performance standards for the screening industry. The Association currently represents over 880 member companies engaged in employment and tenant background screening across the United States. Member companies range from Fortune 100 companies to small local businesses, conducting millions of employment related and tenant background checks each year as part of the hiring and leasing process. PBSA Member companies are defined as “consumer reporting agencies” pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and are regulated by both the FTC and CFPB.


Background Screening Credentialing Council Accreditation in October of 2010, OPENonline was honored to earn the recognition of the PBSA® as a Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC) Accredited company for compliance with the Background Screening Agency Accreditation Program (BSAAP). The BSCC brings national recognition to those organizations committed to excellence, continued improvement, accountability and high standards within the background screening industry. To earn accreditation, companies must pass evaluation in six key areas: consumer protection, legal compliance, client education, product standards, service standards and general business practices.


ASIS International is a global community of 38,000 security practitioners, each of whom have a role in the protection of assets - people, property, and/or information. Founded in 1955, ASIS has since grown globally and includes members in more than 125 countries.


The California State Council of SHRM (CalSHRM)strong> is the oversight body and organizational liaison between the 18 local SHRM chapters throughout the state of California and SHRM headquarters in Alexandria, VA. At CalSHRM, they believe the professional community of more then 20,000 SHRM members and 150,000 plus HR practitioners in the state have a unique voice and can affect change in California employment through One Voice.


The Columbus Ohio Chamber of Commercestrong> is a business advocacy organization representing 2,500 members in Columbus, Ohio. The Columbus Chamber leads the way for economic growth in the region.


The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) serves higher education by providing the knowledge, resources, advocacy and connections to achieve organizational and workforce excellence. CUPA-HR partners with other higher education and HR management associations to advocate on legislative and compliance issues that impact the higher ed workplace.


HR OPEN Standards is the only independent, non-profit, volunteer-led organization dedicated to the development and promotion of a standard suite of OPEN standard specifications to enable e-business and the automation of human resources-related data exchanges. HR OPEN Standards' mission is to lead the ongoing development of robust, extensible, global HR interoperability standards enabling easy-to-implement, time- and cost-effective integration of business applications within the HR community.


The Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO) is a chartered chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and one of 32 professional SHRM chapters in SHRM Area III. From its beginning as a core group of personnel professionals gathering occasionally for informal discussions over a meal, HRACO includes members from all the major segments of human resource management in business, industry, government, and human service organizations in Central Ohio.


The Human Resources Association of the Central Coast (HRACC) is a network of local Human Resource Professionals, students and company managers who are responsible for personnel functions in their organizations. HRACC provides a forum for seeking solutions to challenges in HR and networking with other professionals facing the same issues.


The Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) is a regional association of professional Human Resource association chapters. NHRMA consists of 28 chapters in the states of Alaska, Oregon, and Washington and represents more than 7,900 Human Resource professionals.


The Ohio Provider Resource Association (OPRA) is a leader in efforts to collaboratively build a statewide service system that meets the needs of our ultimate customers: Ohioans with developmental disabilities. Currently, OPRA has a membership consists of more than 125 organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit, providing services to more than 15,000 Ohioans with developmental disabilities. OPRA represents approximately 70% of the state's community-based providers.


The Ohio Staffing and Search Association (OSSA) is a state chapter of the American Staffing Association (ASA) and an affiliate of the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS). OSSA serves as the voice of the industry in state efforts to communicate industry matters to association members, legislative leaders, regulators, the news media and the general public.


The Oregon Association of Licensed Investigators, Inc. (OALI) was founded in 1983 and is the oldest and largest organization of licensed private investigators in the state. OALI is chartered by the State of Oregon as a domestic Nonprofit Corporation. Its business year is July 1st through June 30th.


The Portland Business Alliance is one of Oregon's leading business organizations. The Portland Alliance promotes and fosters an environment in the Portland region that attracts, supports and retains private sector jobs, spurs economic vitality and enables quality educational opportunities for the region's residents.


The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 550 affiliated chapters and members in more than 100 countries.
